As a assistant designer to the head design manager, we would work through seasonal changes to our line as well a new innovative ideas, focused on dinnerware, flatware, glassware and entertaining skus (serving and barware. Present our ideas as “lifestyle parties” ensuring all sku were necessary to throw the party. After executive team approval, we worked alongside sourcing and the overseas team to get final approval products based on MOQ, price and functionality.

2011-2013

Conceived and launched in 2011 (intern), this new category was a spark of life to the PB brand. Intended to gain market share and beat competitors to market. I was an integral part of designing sourcing and presenting to stakeholders. Shortly becoming the principal designer due the the functionality aspect that the category demanded. Increasing sales to over 200K a week and sku count to close 120 skus at its peak.

Indoor FURNITURE

2013-2016

Promoted to designer and moved to the furniture team to run the outdoor department along side the director. In my down time I would help with upholstery and occialonal indoor specs. Gaining more experience and knowledge surrounding multiple manufacturing techniques including being part of the SPO leather launch. Visibility to both teams also gave me a edge as I had visibility to the sales on indoor and could cross pollinate proven design traits into each category.

 Outdoor Furniture

2013-2016

Handed the reigns to be the dedicated designer was a huge undertaking, partnering with engineering and cross functional counterparts to ensure the designs were outdoor worthy. Learning about substrates, spacing and manufacturing techniques was a unique experience. Challenged to continue the sales growth of LY 14%, and revamp the category for the brand. I created the first OPP, under girth outdoor collection for the brand, as well as the first OPP wicker collection among other creative problem solving designs.
